In this time of frequent fake news competing with quality journalism this workshop, led by journalists and European experts, shown to the delegates how to deal with and verify these confusing contents.

The workshop aimed to give a wide overview - from regions to Europe - of the fake news phenomenon, and proposing concrete examples of how public broadcasters can tackle this issue. It also tried to answer the question: “Are European institutions helping out public broadcasters to control the fake news stream?”.

After each session, the delegates – journalists coming from Bulgaria, Spain, Germany, Serbia, France, Czech Republic and Malta – met and had an open discussion, sharing ideas and different experiences.
