The Norwegian public service media operator NRK has won three of the 11 genre category awards in the annual competition for the best content and professional skills in Europe’s regional television stations.
NRK Rogaland won the prestigious Documentary category with a programme which followed the rehabilitation a young woman who survived the massacre of 77 victims in the shootings on the Norwegian island of Utøya. NRK Trøndelag won the category Entertainment and Drama and NRK Nordland won the category News Report.
The other winners are TVR Bucharest (Romania), RTÉ (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), RTV Oost (The Netherlands), TVP3 Katowice (Poland), Telemadrid (Spain), BBC South (UK) and CRTVG (Galicia, Spain).

The winning stations receive a trophy, 1000 euros as well travel to and accommodation at the awards ceremony. The Grand Prix winner receives a further 2000 euros in cash and another trophy.
The judges also made special commendations and these are listed below.
The judges met in Delden, The Netherlands, as the guests of RTV Oost.
David Lowen, President of the Prix CIRCOM and chair of the juries, said today:
“The evidence is that regional public service broadcasters are delivering much quality onscreen in linear and wider digital form. Our judges saw some good programmes and found a high level of skill. The TV and media landscape is tougher and changing faster but there are signs that regional creativity and energy are still matching the best in key areas.”
The judges were:
Carlo di Blasio (RAI, Italy), Nils Choler (SVT, Sweden), Mary Ellen Ní Chualáin (TG4, Ireland), Dite Dinesz (TVR Timisoara, Romania), Françoise Erb (FTV Grand Est, France), Gunnar Henrich (Hessischer Rundfunk, Germany), Lucia Herrera (TVP Asturias, Spain), Todor Ignatov (BNT, Bulgaria), Eivend Undrum Jacobsen (NRK Nordland, Norway), Wojciech Malinowski (TVP Wroclaw, Poland), Montse Armengou Martin (TV3 Catalonia, Spain), Michelle Mayman (BBC North West, UK), Mojca Recek (RTVSLO Maribor, Slovenia) and Bas Treffers (RTV Oost, The Netherlands).
