It is hard to find words in this situation. Being in Groningen to prepare this year’s Annual conference of Circom Regional, we received the sad news that our colleague Pierre Couchard from RTBF in Brussels had died.

Pierre, one of the founders of CIRCOM, was a long time friend and supporter of the Association and contributed immensely to build Circom  into a strong, healthy and vibrant organisation.

Friendship is the term the Circom family associates with Pierre Couchard.

Only last week he was working on European co-productions trying to establish collaboration between European stations.

We will remember him as a brilliant journalist, reliable friend and a great European.

We express our deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
