EuroPCom 2018, Brussels, Belgium
8th - 9th November 2018
CIRCOM Regional members are invited to join the EuroPCom event in Brussels organised by the European Committee of the Regions - check the programme of the event.
During this event, on Thursday 9th November, CIRCOM Regional organized a 3-hour workshop to learn about new storytelling techniques focused on the upcoming European Elections while engaging actors on the ground. The question in the center of the workshop was: How to design new formats to reach first time voters?
CIRCOM took occasion to present results of our workshops about new ways to tell stories to reach new audiences. There was also an open discussion on how to adapt these approaches to local and regional information about European Elections and Cohesion Policy (examples in regions, especially citizenship co-productions, showcase of stories…).
12 journalists from CIRCOM member countries (one delegate per country of the European Union) were given the opportunity to attend this workshop and take part in all the other EUROPCom events also.
This was a chance for delegates to join the dedicated media programme and cover the multitude of workshops and key events. It was also a unique chance to join the largest and most influential annual event on regional and urban development in the European Union, connecting politicians, academics, experts and citizens with an interest in EU Cohesion Policy.
