Santiago, May 8th 2013 - The programme "Teliasonera-The Uzbek affair", SVT Göteborg, Sweden, won the Grand Prix at Prix CIRCOM 2013 Gala, where best regional TV programmes and programme makers in Europe for the last year were awarded.
The judges considered the "Teliasonera-The Uzbek affair" programme, also winner in the Investigative Journalism category, to be so good and convincing that it was without doubt the winner of all categories. The Grand Prix was announced at the Prix Gala in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain, hosted by TVG, the public Galician service broadcaster, also host of the 31st CIRCOM Regional Anual Conference.
PRIX CIRCOM 2013 GALA
The 10 category winners of the Prix CIRCOM have been announced after judging near Strasbourg, France. Three top awards go to regional stations in The Netherlands and two to both BNT (Bulgaria) and SVT (Sweden). FTV (France), BBC (UK), NRK (Norway) took the other winning awards.
The winners receive more than 30,000 euros in cash, travel bursaries as well as a trophy. In all, there were 156 entries from 19 countries.
