This unique gathering will focus on the role of regional television over the coming years. Titled: “2020 – The Challenges for Regional Television – The Risks and Opportunities.” The seminar will bring together the decision makers in regional TV to discuss the major risks and challenges facing our services. Through exchange of views and experience it is hoped greater cooperation and support will help us with the issues to be faced in the coming years. The summit will be addressed by some of Europe’s leading Regional Television executives. The event will take place at the Hotel Continental, Timisoara on Wednesday 4th May at 2pm. Delegates are invited to stay for the CIRCOM conference the following 2 days when topics discussed at the seminar will be expanded upon during conference sessions. Attendance is free to CIRCOM members.
3. CIRCOM REGIONAL TELEVISION DOCUMENTARY WORKSHOP -Details>>>
CIRCOM is pleased to announce that a 2 day workshop for 12 documentary producers and directors will take place at the Hotel Timisoara from May 3rd to 4th 2011. Attendance at the workshop is free of charge to CIRCOM member stations. Delegates are invited to attend the CIRCOM conference, where a special session will take place to discuss the issues and topics discussed during the 2-day workshop. The workshop will be lead by Tony O’Shaughnessy, a former BBC News and Current Affairs Editor and documentary maker.
4. THE 20TH CIRCOM TELEVISION NEWS JOURNALISM TRAINING WORKSHOP - Details >>>
This event will take place between April 25th and May 8th. Located at the Casa Politehnicii, the training for young television journalists is free of charge to CIRCOM members. This also includes accommodation with breakfast and lunch. The training is designed to: give young journalists a better understanding of television news production, develop storytelling for television news, improve the skills needed to be a TV journalist and an opportunity to produce a television story while in Timisoara. All trainees will be invited to take part in the CIRCOM annual conference where they will have the opportunity to participate and discuss the issues that relate directly to them in their regional TV stations.
